~Love is in the air~ - part two
Just went to Sherry's blog and saw her 'WHY?' posts. It reminded me of soemething, which led me to suddenly feeling like typing something very deep...lols.
So, heading into my part 2 of ~Love is in the air~. Unfortunately, it still doesn't apply to me. Hahas. For the last week, a fren of mine got, eh, wooed by a guy. I must say that the guy is very brave, cause he dares to get close to the girl. Whenever he sees her, he will wave to her, and whatever event the girl participate in he will also participate in. And he is also very open abt his crush on her. Thus, alot of ppl noe about his crush, but of course, i helped to spread it around too. =D
But i digress, my main objective of typing this post is to talk abt the 'forever' in secondary school relationships.
(Is it just me or does it sound a bit like an exposition essay? O.O)
Often, when a a guy and girl becomes a couple, the phrase 'forever' is quite often said by both parties, like "I will love you forever" "I will wait for you forever" "You will be in my heart forever" and others. However, how long does this 'forever' actually last? One month? Two months? Six months? A year? The point that i am trying to make here is that the 'forever' doesn't last forever. Relationships in secondary schools often doesn't last until the end of secondary school life, much less JC/ Poly life. At this stage of life, at the secondary school level, our feelings change alot, and so do our crush. But why do teenagers still put 'forever' together with relationships? Do they really not understand that 'forever' just isn't applicable with secondary sch relationships?
The guy which i mentioned earlier asked me back whether i think that he will stop liking that girl after some time when i asked him that qns. I gave him a vague answer that time, but now, i would like to resay my sentence.
I do not believe that you will like that girl by the end of sec 4. The longest crush i have seen is 4 years. Feel free to break that record and continue likeing that girl for 5 yrs, if you wanna prove me wrong.
That also bring me to why teenagers date. Personally, i dun encourage dating in secondary sch life. Knowing that 'forever' doesn't apply to the relationship, why still date when you know that you will break up in the end? I understand like having a crush and liking each other is normal in secondary sch life, i have crushes on guys too, but i think that dating just ends in a disaster.
i need to go and sleep now, so i need to end the post soon.
All of the above are my opinions, so i would really like it if you can accept my opinion, like how i will accept yours, if you have another opinion.
Byes,
Ming en
