Amu: Erm...Kuukia, lets don't bother the policeman anymore...
Temari: *Whispers in Nade ears*
Nade: What if...What if we are here to do a exclusive newspaper report for our school?
Policeman: Hmm... that depends... Did your teachers send you here?
Tadase: Yes, they did. If you want , you can talk to our principle.
Policeman: There's no need for that. I trust your word, but you must be accompanied by a police on duty, and the look will be a very quick one. You mustn't disturb the professers and scienctist working there. Understand?
All the Guardians: Yes, sir.
Amu: *Thinks* Even Tadase can be a good liar at times...
Ran: Amu... we are going to the creepy place now. Are you afraid?
Amu: Of course not. Why would I be afriad?
Ran: Well, I was just worried. If you are afraid, you should just say it out. I could accompany you outside.
Amu:*Look down* It's nothing. I am a little scared, but there's no need to inform the other about it. I'll just go with them.
Ran: If you say so...

Policeman: Just take a qiuck look.
Yaya: Wow...
Amu: It really is just charred ground. ~.~"
Kiseki: People, take a good look at this 'charred ground'. This charred ground ground might just provide some valuable infomation about ow to conquer the world!!! Hahahahaha...
Tadase: Kiseki...
Amu: What gave you this crazy idea? -.-"
Nade: It seems Yaya was right. This place is just charred ground, nothing very interesting...
Yaya: Look! What are the weird people in glasses and white coat doing?
Nade: The men in glasses and white coat are the scienctists and professers, Yaya... and I think they are collecting the soil or something. Hmmm......
Policeman: This girl's right. They are collecting samples of the soil for research purposes.
Amu: *Nods* I see... *Looks around* I thought that the place would be creepy at first. but after seeing it, it's not that scary after all. The whole place is lighted up, even if it is in the afternoon, and there are lots of people around.
Miki: Do...do you feel weird?
Amu: What do you mean?
Ran: I feel funny too...
Amu: *Slighly panicky* Are you guys sick?
Nade: Sick? Who's sick?
Amu: My shugo charas! They said they weren't feeling well.
Tadase: That's strange. Shugo Charas can't fall sick...
Pepe-Chan: To be truthful...I don't feel too well either.
Yaya Pepe!!!! Don't die!!! *Boohoo*
Nade: Now, I am very certiant that shugo charas can't die.... but as to why they are feeling sick...
Temari: Nadeshiko... I'm not feeing that good idea. It is like there a a heavy burden on my mind, and it's giving me a slight headache.
Nade: Temari!
Suu: I'm feeling dizzy~desu... @.@
Kuukia: Let's get out of here. Whatever this it. I think that the place is the one causing it.
Tadase: Yeah.
(As they were walking out...)
Amu: Why are only the shugo charas affected? We aren't and neither are the people working there.
Tadase: Hmmm...I have no idea either. It the first time I have confronted this sort of problem. I will have to read it up later.
Nade: But whatever it was. The thing seems to be gone. Look, the shugo chara are better!
Diachi: *Flies up* I feel so much better.
Kuukia: *smiles* That's a relief.
Yaya: I need to go home now guys. Gomenasai. >.<
Tadase: There's no problem about that. In fact I need to go home too.
Kuukia: Me too.
Nade: If that's so, then lets go home now.
(Everyone waved goodbye, and walked away, leaving Amu alone.)
Amu: *Sigh* Today sure was eventful, a new transfer student, a strange light, and a mysterious sickness.
Ran: It sure was exciting though. ^^
Amu: If you think so. C'mon guys. Let's go home.
Suu: Wait isn't that the new transfer student?
Miki: Yeah. And she is with the woman she saw earlier.
Amu: Oh. That might be her mother. They must have came here because of the commotion. Let's go now, before my mother scolds.

Woman: Shugo charas eh? That's sweet...
Akina: It's cute isn't it. *Smiles* That girl, Amu, she's 'the one' isn't she?
Woman: No doubt about that.
Akina: *Looks at the crowd in front of her* Hmm... I can't believe this actually caused such a big commotion...
Woman: They must be curious. After all, lights coming from the heavens don't happen on a daily basis here.
Akina: You're right. *Smiles* So lets get back now. There's school tomorrow, Phoenix.
Woman: You're right, lets go, mistress.

Author's note: This chapter basically explore more about the 'light'. As you can see, the place affects the shugo chara, making them dizzy, unwell, etc. This will be explained in the upcoming chapters. ^^ No worries.
The last part of the story was a bit dark though, with the thing about Akina. I guess we can safely say that she is not a 'normal' student, hmm?
